I have to update iTunes and my phone and my computer, change my phone's display setting to never go to sleep (if the screen turns off while it's uploading photos, the whole thing crashes), have the iphone photos app open (if it's not, windows says there's no pictures on the phone), and then on my computer I go into Devices and Drives and right click and import. I started the process at 11 AM this morning and now, 7:30 PM, I'm still going. Every time I need to back up my iPhone's photos to my computer, it's a huge production. I'm sure this is an issue that comes up a lot, but I'm not finding a solution.
